DCR Civil

David Rubery, Managing Director of Goodman Energy is the Director of DCR Civil, formed in 2021 to provide ECI and project management and governance services in the roading and wind energy sectors.  DCR Civil provides specialist construction advise to wind farm developers and consultants on proposed wind farm projects throughout New Zealand.

David has 24 years’ experience in the wind energy sector and has been an active member of the New Zealand Wind Energy Association and is a current board member representing the construction sector.

David has managed the CBOP delivery for wind farm projects including Meridian’s Te Apiti, Westwind and Mill Creek, Trustpower’s T3 and most recently Tilt’s Waipipi. David has provided consultancy services on a further three projects and ECI input on several of the above projects.

DCR Civil can provide clients with an experienced delivery team for the full scope of CBOP and  partners with  consultants where required for geometric design for roading/laydowns and foundation design.

Goodman Contractors

Stan Goodman, Director of Goodman Energy is the Managing Director of Goodman Contractors, one of New Zealand’s largest specialist earthmoving and civil contractors being in business for over 55 years.

Stan has managed Goodman’s input for the principal civil works for earthworks, drainage and environmental management on four major wind farm projects.  These have included Meridian’s Te Apiti, Westwind and Mill Creek projects and Trustpower’s T3. 

Goodman Contractors moves over 4 million m3 of earthworks annually together with a wide range of civil works across the quarrying, energy, forestry, roading and commercial/residential sectors. Goodmans employ over 250 staff across various contract and project divisions.

Goodmans are the principal earthworks/drainage sub-alliance partner on the Te Ahu a Turanga Manawatu Tararua Highway and have recently completed earthworks on the Puhoi to Warkwork  (NX2), MacKay to Peka Peka (M2PP), Peka Peka to Otaki (PP2O) and a proportion of Transmission Gully (TG) expressways. This workload totals over 20 million m3 earthworks and revenue of more than $330m.

Suppliers/Subcontractors

Goodman Energy partners with a group of specialist suppliers and subcontractors for aggregate supply, concrete manufacture, steel reinforcing supply install, cable installation and substation/transmission line construction. All these partners have a strong proven track record in the wind CBOP sector and working with the Goodman Energy partners.
