Sustainability

The Goodman Energy team are leaders in the New Zealand civil market for reducing construction emissions and empowering our suppliers and partners to use our expertise and innovation to tackle this key issue.  We support New Zealand’s commitment to the ‘Paris Accord’, to reduce carbon emissions by 30% from the 2005 baseline by 2030 and the goal of 0% emissions by 2050.

We work with key clients and suppliers who operate within the formal emissions compliance market such as our diesel, electrical and material suppliers.

Goodman Energy operate in the voluntary market where we understand our emissions, have set a baseline and are targeting a reduction of 20% by 2030. We work across three scopes for emissions; Direct which we own and control, indirect emissions we own from suppliers and third party we transact with.

Utilising our range of emission reduction strategies including our late model efficient plant, optimisation and innovation in construction methodology, we are driving GOOD downward trends in our emission footprint whilst working on renewable energy projects which are benefiting the New Zealand emission reduction targets.
