Te Rere Hau Wind Farm Repowering

Goodman Energy has recently been made the preferred CBOP  Contractor for the Meridian Te Rere Hau Repowering project in the Manawatu, the repowering of the NZ Wind Farms site with 39 new turbines with the total capacity of up to 170 MW’s.

The Te Rere Hau Wind Farm is located near Palmerston North on the Tararua Range, which offers some of the best resources in New Zealand. Originally constructed in 2006 with five 500 kilowatt turbines, it currently has 91 turbines with a total installed capacity of 45.5 megawatts.

Goodmans scope for the repowering includes bulk earthworks, drainage, pavement and hardstands,  turbine foundations, cable installation, upgrade of the North Range Road and associated civils works.
