Our market leading team members worked on the Waipipi project which had some unique features in regard to the site being coastal with flat topography but weak ground conditions requiring a range of ground improvements.

The site had previously been mined for iron sand and was also a large-scale diary and cattle farm. The project was also unique in regard to the funding and procurement model which required a hybrid conditions of contract, with shared risk and had independent banking engineering review and compliance.

David Rubery managed the formal contract procurement and ECI phase for the business case approval, and the CBOP delivery with the full range of disciplines including bulk earthworks, drainage, pavements, ground improvements, turbine foundation construction, fencing and associated site, health & safety, environmental, traffic and quality compliance.
